Maybe cooper fake died just like JFK Jr?
Actually looking at that JFK Jr dressed as Santa video it kind of looks like Cooper, eyes and nose shape. Not comfortable in front of the crowd because he's not used to it.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was at all, JFK Jr even called in after his fake death.
