Subpoenas have reportedly been issued to over 400 Catholic organizations across Nebraska, according to the state’s Department of Justice.

The subpoenas request that all records or information related to any child sexual assault or abuse that involved those employed or associated with the church be disclosed. This includes both cases that had been officially reported or not.

The Nebraska Department of Justice says that they have appreciated the cooperation from the Catholic Church, but that the subpoenas were necessary to ensure that all information is brought forth.
