Feeling sort of melancholy tonight. Watching POTUS receive the welcome of Vietnam is something I wish my father could have lived to see. He was among some of the first draftees to go to Vietnam. I was born in the middle of his first of two tours. For some reason he loved the place and it's people. I can only imagine what he would have thought about current events. I'm saddened that I will never be able to visit that land with him and visit the places that were significant to him. He died in 1981 at the age of 34 from complications of Agent Orange exposure.

I'll see you again in a little while "old man". I've got some things to finish here first.
