That's not how it works, Anon. If I remember right windup clocks don't go backwards when you wind them. Winding only increases the tension in the coil…whick keeps the clock ticking. To move the time forwards or backwards requires a different action.

 

"Starting" the clock means that Q reset it to a specific time—evidently the beginning of his 'timeline'. But I don't know that we're going to be able to figure out the actual timeline from past Q posts because Q himself said that he moved up the timeline, and he didn't really explain the new timeline before he began the current posting break.
