End the War on Chronic Pain Patients and their Physicians…This was never the cause of the fake RX prescribed opioid crisis for profit. We all know that it was illegal heroin & fentanyl brought in from Mexico and China by the previous administration.

To delay the end to this witch hunt defies logic and humane decency….unless there were never plans to end it.

Investors See Big Opportunities In Opioid Addiction Treatment

Every fake crisis presents an huge $Multi-Billion money maker opportunity. Now a global cash cow. And when it comes to opioid addiction, investors and businesses are seeing a big opportunity in addiction treatment. Private equity firms or public companies bought or invested in addiction treatment centers and other so-called behavioral health companies in 2014 and 2015 alone.

The Mental Health Parity Act of 2008 requires insurers to cover mental health care as they would cover physical health care.

"Mental health parity was the beginning. We saw a big benefit. And then the Affordable Care Act was very positive for our industry," says Joey Jacobs, Acadia's CEO. He spoke at an investor conference last month.

Obamacare is driving their growth in part because so many more people have health insurance, and in particular because of a provision in the law that allows people up to age 26 to stay on their parents' insurance policies. That's the age of many opioid and heroin abusers.

Suddenly there's a huge stream of cash for Acadia and other companies to tap into.

***

But addiction is certainly a big part of the business. It has more than 100 inpatient detox and rehab centers and runs 110 opioid treatment programs, better known as methadone clinics, which it bought from private equity firm Bain Capital in 2014 for $1.18 billion.

Bain, which was founded by Mitt Romney, had purchased CRC Health, a chain of treatment centers, in 2005 for $720 million. It then bought at least 20 more rehab centers and then added a Massachusetts-based chain of methadone clinics in 2014 for $58 million, just before selling the entire package to Acadia.

investor conference, the company referred to the rising use of heroin as a "favorable industry tailwind" and predicted its revenue would continue to grow.

A Little State Debunks A Big Lie: The DEA's Opioid Scam~Nov. 2018

CDC , FDA and DEA: "Feel Free To Lie"

Who Is Telling The Truth About Prescription Opioid Deaths? DEA? CDC? Neither?) about how the CDC and their flunkies from the Physicians Responsible for Opioid Prohibition (1) have been spinning their bogus statistics in order to tell us a story that isn't even remotely true: That prescription opioids are killing bazillions of Americans and the way to combat this is to crack down on prescribing these drugs.

"Controlled Prescription Drugs (CPDs) … are still responsible for the most drug-involved overdose deaths and are the second most commonly abused substance in the United States."

DEA Report, November 8, 2018.164 pages worth of fabrications

Despite ample evidence that America’s so-called “opioid epidemic” is caused by street drugs (some of them diverted prescription drugs)  rather than by prescriptions made by doctors to chronic pain patients, CDC has continued to double-down on its errors.  They have thus far refused even to consider withdrawing the guidelines for a major and very needed rewrite.  The US Veterans Administration has compounded this mess by publishing practice standards which declare opioid analgesics don’t work for chronic pain and shouldn’t be prescribed —  ignoring the long record of effectiveness reported by patients, as well as hundreds of suicides which have already resulted from VA withdrawal of pain care from Veterans.

Our Military, Our Veterans and our disabled deserve better than Express Scripts Health Plans…I always wondered why we were stuck with them…

Look up their reputation…by those that actually have to use the company…pages and pages of complaints.

Force health providers to jump through a 20 ring circus…same with the patients forced to use them or hurt substantially if they have to find another health plan. Even 20 hurdles for cheap generics.

Every less pill you take is larger profits for them.

They hassle you, your pharmacy and physicians…If you can only take a brand name drug due to side effects of a low quality generic…they go behind your back to that "now necessary clinic hired to jump through all the paper work" by repeatedly badgering them to switch you to a generic.

Every year more Rx's (even generics) are dropped from their formulary (RX list). More hurdles to jump through, drive up costs of healthcare, Most generics do not work like the brand name drugs. God forbid if a brand name drug only works for you. Hopefully more pharmacies, doctors and patients will complain or get harassment suits against this company.

Open Secrets…
