Makes sense. Still can't wrap my head around why Trump kept him around for a decade when he turned out to be so weak willed. People change though, I suppose.
As shrewd as DJT is, he's most likely well versed in emotional manipulation as well. Not saying he could never be fooled, but 10+ years around someone seems like enough time to notice something off.
