The Clinton Foundation is and has been under investigation under the Trump administration. I have said before, most of those who have been convicted are WITNESSES to the corruption. Any lawfags here to comment? Is this how they would introduce the evidence?

To the best of my knowledge, this is all unchartered territory. I have never heard of authorities breaching the attorney/client privilege. Kind of like fruit from the poisoned tree idea without the client's waver. I know in my state, lawyers are officers of the court. If a client tells their lawyer about a crime they are going to commit, the lawyer has an obligation to alert the court. That's the only exception I can think of. Also you can not put a defendant on the stand knowing they are going to lie.

I'm not a lawfag, but worked in firm many years. I think the only other consequence is a civil action. So after you would be disbarred, they'd sue you and hopefully your malpractice insurance covers it.

Correct. He has already destroyed his reputation and established he's a fraudster at the very least. It is very sad the profession today is, to some, nothing more than another business. It was different decades ago.
