NY Governor Andrew Cuomo wants to mandate insurance coverage for IVF and egg freezing.

Could this be an effort to address declining reproduction rates (fewer babies)?

Never heard a Democrat willingly discuss taxes, let alone coin a new phrase, but now we have Cuomo's administration characterizing the lack of insurance coverage for fertility treatment as a "fertility tax."

Funny that the lack of insurance coverage for contraception was never characterized as a tax.

What isn't funny is that this fertility tax is being promoted in the same state that just celebrated late term abortion.

Is the agenda becoming more obvious?

"Without insurance coverage, the high cost of in vitro fertilization is prohibitive, creating an unfair fertility tax imposed upon society," said Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul. "Expanding the availability of IVF is a part of our Women's Justice Agenda, a groundbreaking effort to ensure full equality for the women of our state. Every New Yorker hoping to build a family, regardless of financial means, should be given a chance to do so. All individuals should be able to access the latest in medical advances no matter who they love or what their income is."

This is baked in the cake, which is why Cohen was crying like a bitch yeaterday and even said at one point "I will pay the ultimate price."

The ultimate price clearly is not three years in federal prison. He knows what he's got coming.
