In one swoop, Hong Kong police top 2018’s entire cocaine haul, arresting three men

Hong Kong police have made their biggest cocaine bust in three years, dwarfing the force’s entire haul of the drug for 2018 in one swoop.

Officers netted the HK$380 million (US$48.5 million) stash and arrested three men in a raid on a crack cocaine factory in a remote village in the city’s far north.

It included 350kg of cocaine and 2kg of crack cocaine, found in a flat in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui, and a nearby delivery van.

Chief Inspector Lam Sze-yi of the New Territories North regional crime unit said police began investigating the syndicate after receiving intelligence about six months ago. After gathering evidence and identifying suspects, officers swooped at about 9.30pm on Monday.

The Guardian article CIA gave details of 9/11 suspect’s secret torture to film-makers, lawyers say exposes the rather stunning fact that the Hollywood producers of the film Zero Dark Thirty were able to learn things about the detention and beatings of Guantanamo inmate Ammar al-Baluchi that not even his defense lawyers were privy to. (Al-Baluchi is a 9/11 suspect facing the death sentence.) Why? Let me guess. Perhaps because the CIA has no interest in letting an innocent man go free and every interest in seeing Arab scapegoats get punished for 9/11 (a massive false flag op pulled off by these 3 groups) and every interest in providing good propaganda to Hollywood, the biggest film industry in the world, so they can continue to mold the perception of minds everywhere. The Nazis were good bad guys for awhile, but now Arabs are the best bad guys around – what with their scary beards and all.

Chinese Manufacturing Sinks To 3-Year Low As Trump Tariffs Take Hold

Chinese manufacturing sunk to a three-year low in February as the U.S. ratcheted up pressure on China over trade issues, according to data released Thursday.

The news comes after high-level talks between the U.S. and China last week that resulted in President Donald Trump delaying higher tariffs set to take effect Friday.

Thursday’s data was the lowest since March 2016 and “is the latest among many signs of persisting weakness in a slowing economy,” reported The Wall Street Journal. If U.S.-China trade negotiations fail, the manufacturing decline could continue, according to CNBC.

Syria renews call on al-Rukban camp residents to return to their hometowns

Damascus, SANA – Syria has repeatedly affirmed, through the statements of its senior officials and concerned institutions, that it welcomes the return of all displaced Syrians to their homeland, an official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said on Thursday.

“The Syrian state is ready to shoulder all its responsibilities to secure a safe and decent return for its citizens who were forced by the difficult circumstances Syria has gone through to leave their home towns and villages,” the source stated.

Out of its keenness on its citizens’ interest, Syria, the source added, “renews its call on our people in al-Rukban camp to leave the camp and return to their home towns and villages.”

“The Syrian state will provide all the facilitations to transport the citizens from the camp to their places of residence and all other facilitations to achieve that end,” the source said.
