You don't HAVE to live in CA.
Land and homes are FAR more affordable in some other places.
If you would consider moving, you can find a much happier place with far lower cost of living, almost zero stiffling regulations, low taxes, cheaper food & other necessities, and far fewer illegals strutting down the street pregnant with 3 babies in the stroller.
