Sorry to say, but this is the type of self-serving thinking that prevents people from realizing they are being exploited by the system of control. Remember in the Matrix trilogy when Neo figured out that the architect planned from the beginning to use Neo's rebelliousness to achieve a predefined goal that benefits the system?
I'm sure you're less asleep than 99% of the US public, just by the fact that you're in here on a Saturday night. But it doesn't make sense for people here to be proud of the fact that they can't admit how they have been damaged and used.
Are you telling me you never got played by the system in any of the following common ways:
Married for the wrong reasons, ended up divorced, had kids who have messed up lives, worked a job you hated just to pay bills, wasted money at a casino, abused drugs or alcohol, wasted time & money rooting for a professional sports team, believed in a political candidate's promises that he never fulfilled, etc? I hope I don't need to continue with the examples.
