"A sick WhatsApp 'suicide' game called the Momo challenge has hit the UK, leaving young children fearing for their lives.

The so-called 'challenge', featuring a haunting character with bulging eyes, has sparked warnings to British parents.

It has already been linked to the suicide of a 12-year-old girl in Argentina.

And now, UK primary schools have warned about the dangers of the game, saying it presents a "serious risk" to kids' safety.

In a letter to parents, one Cumbrian school said the game is "easily accessed" through social media and "rapidly spreading"."

"Schools have warned that the "disturbing" game poses a risk to children, who may be vulnerable to the 'orders' given to them.

In a recent letter to parents, St Bedes RC Primary School in Carlisle warns that the challenge features "distressing content".

The school says: "Light-hearted and fun at the outset, this game experience quickly darkens, absorbing players who are encouraged to perform acts of violence and self-harm through a series of progressively risky challenges.""

The article above has all info regarding the Momo Challenge but this game is also being linked to the Blue Whale Challenge
