Cows are carbon neutral, there doesn't come more carbon out of a cow than goes into the cow by eating grass.

 

It is even a carbon sink. Half the body weight of cows are carbons.

And methane (farts) have a max duration of 12 years. Can't have farts in the air from more than 12 years ago. That''s why it is so few in the atmoshere and will always stay few.

Yea, CH4 is unstable and falls apart (starting at day 1, max is 12 years) and oxidizes into co2 and h20 (plant food)

 

…and the carbon part if from the grass the cow ate that otherwise would have decompozed on the ground into co2 and methane
