I just want each of you to know how much your work and devotion to the cause effects the nameless people.

Today my daughter asked me to proofread her college scholarship essays. Each had the same mundane questions about why she should receive this scholarship and how she has contributed society. Her answers need to be shared with all of you.

1. Grades aside, what makes you more deserving of this scholarship?

A. Nothing. I deserve this scholarship because you offered it. Your organization felt that humanity will be enriched by offering a student the ability to pursue their dream. Dreams are personal, aspirations change, societies change, humanity changes, geography & populations change but life continues. I will make the difference in someone's life. I will make a difference because of my strengths, my weaknesses, the love of my family, and their love of this country. We will make a difference, I will make a difference, and I will move my community, large or small, into a future of hopes and dreams fulfilled.

To my family, your time and sacrifice are invaluable.
