Liberals are still establishing foundations for moral concepts, so they're more open to ideas? Where as people with more foundations for morality are less open to new ideas because they already have quite a few through which they ruminate.
Rumination takes time, energy, distraction free space, and group validation through testing/conversing and some others.
I was speculating on causality as to why liberals with 2 foundation morality would be more open to new ideas.
New ideas could help them establish a 3rd or more foundations of morality.
