99% everything we learn about the world comes to us today through a screen. This has created an extended perceptual loop, where information we receive about the world via a screen is treated the same way that information about the world which we receive via our senses is - it is trusted.

Kraus knew, as many people did, that the first world war was started for profit and that the media advertising complex - newspapers and magazines in that day - were not passive agents reporting this, but active partners in fomenting the fear and hatred to support it. The media participated directly in the profits reaped by the advertisers, bankers, arms manufacturers; the suppliers of goods and services. The advertising supported media prospered so greatly from that first mass mechanized slaughter of civilian populations in the history of warfare, they’ve been doing it ever since.

Networked communications form an extended perceptual loop. Adversaries use these insecure pathways to introduce harmful information, incrementally subverting consciousness by corrupting the integrity of the perceptual pathway to introduce harmful information - often below the threshold of conscious awareness.

The average person see 1000 ads every day. Each of those ad uses side channels: subsonics, subliminal SEX and DEATH embeds which profoundly affect the tenor and status of the conscious mind.

What we don't see and we don't hear can and will kill us. Advertising supported media social overt and covert programming is responsible for much of what is ugly and superficial in consumer culture.
