Obstruction of Justice? Canada's Liberal Party provide a textbook case. Unsurprisingly, there is precedent that was provided by a prevous Liberal Party government (under PMs Chretien and later Martin) that became known as The Libranos. When the Conservative Party was elected it was largely in public reaction to huge scandals under Chretien (and his then-Finance Minister, Martin, who later succeeded Chretien as PM). PM Harper pushed reforms into the law that encoded the Rule of Law principles that the Liberals had violated but were not prosecuted for because of weak law. So today the product of the Conservative government's response to the corrupt Liberal government is at issue: And the Trudeau-appointed feminist Aboriginal Attorney General is making her stand based on those principles upon which the current law was built. She is for the principles that the former Liberal Government violated and that the current Liberal Government has violated. And she is a Liberal member of Parliament, still, whose stand has wide public support.

It may be used too often on this Board, but it is true what Q has said: These people are stupid.
