PayPal CEO Admits Partnering with Far-Left SPLC to Blacklist Conservatives

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman admitted that his company works with the radical Southern Poverty Law Center when it considers blacklisting conservatives. PayPal has blacklisted WikiLeaks, Infowars, Gavin McInnes, Tommy Robinson, Lauren Southern, Laura Loomer, Roosh V, free speech social network Gab and Youtube competitor Bitchute. The SPLC, which also reportedly works with Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Twitter, was forced to pay a $3.3 million settlements to Maajid Nawaz, an activist against Muslim extremism.

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman admitted during an interview with the Wall Street Journal that PayPal works with the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) when it considers blacklisting conservatives.

After being asked by the Wall Street Journal what “values” PayPal identifies with,” Schulman replied, “Probably the most important value to us is diversity and inclusion.”

“I think North Carolina was probably the moment that was the most visible, where we basically said this violates our core value and we need to make a very public stand on it,” claimed Schulman, referencing the time when PayPal pulled out of an investment in North Carolina because the state passed a bill making it mandatory for people to use the bathroom of their biological sex.

“Businesses need to be a force for good in those values and issues that they believe in. It shouldn’t come from backlash or people taking heat on it, because then it’s in response, as opposed to the definition of who you are and then how you react to the context that you find yourself in,” the PayPal CEO expressed, adding that the Charlottesville rally in 2017 was a “defining moment” for PayPal to start blacklisting conservatives.

Schulman claimed it “was a defining moment for us as a company,” that was “difficult,” because, “the line between free speech and hate, nobody teaches it to you in college. Nobody’s defined it in the law.”

During the interview, Schulman also admitted that the far-left SPLC helps to inform “PayPal’s decisions.”

“There are those both on the right and left that help us. Southern Poverty Law Center has brought things. We don’t always agree. We have our debates with them. We are very respectful with everyone coming in. We will do the examination carefully,” Schulman explained. “We’ll talk when we don’t agree with a finding: We understand why you think that way, but it still goes into the realm of free speech for us.”

The SPLC, which also reportedly works with Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Twitter, was forced to pay a $3.3 million settlements to anti-extremist activist Maajid Nawaz last year, after the organization included him on a list of “anti-Muslim extremists,” despite Nawaz being Muslim himself.

Mike Pence: Freedom, Not Socialism, ‘Ended Slavery, Won Two World Wars’

Vice President Mike Pence charged thousands gathered at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Friday to take the pro-freedom, anti-socialism message throughout America as we head into 2020.

“Under the guise of Medicare for All and a Green New Deal, Democrats are embracing the same tired economic theories that have impoverished nations and stifled the liberties of millions over the past century,” said Pence. “That system is socialism”:

Democrat 2020 candidates are offering “just the same old, same old: more taxes, more spending, more government, less freedom,” the vice president explained.

“The moment America becomes a socialist country is the moment America ceases to be America,” said Pence. “As President Trump said 24 days ago, so we must say with one voice, ‘America will never be a socialist country.’”

The crowd broke out in chants of “USA! USA!”

“We know where socialism leads. You want socialism, just look at Venezuela,” said Pence. “Venezuela was once one of the richest and most vibrant democracies in the Western Hemisphere, but under Maduro’s socialist rule, it has become one of the poorest and most despotic.”

Pence described the deep dive Venezuela’s people have seen from prosperity to poverty:

Today, more than nine out of ten people live in poverty in that once-rich country. More than three million Venezuelans have abandoned their homes and fled the brutality of the Maduro regime.

But the struggle in Venezuela is between dictatorship and democracy. The struggle in Venezuela is between socialism and freedom.

He recalled his trip this week to Colombia, where he brought affirmation of President Donald Trump’s strong stand for the people of Venezuela and against the Maduro regime as he stood alongside leaders of several South American nations. He reiterated on the CPAC stage the message he took to Colombia: “Nicolas Maduro must go.”

“Freedom is about enabling people to live their lives as they see fit, not government control,” the vice president attested.

He further declared:

Freedom produces more and better goods than any system in any other place and time in any other place. Freedom produces more and better goods than any other system at any other time in any other place.

Freedom is more generous, more helpful, and more humane than any other social or economic model ever attempted because it is the only philosophy that respects the dignity and worth of every single life and sees every man, woman, and child as made in the image of God. That’s freedom. That’s our heritage.

Freedom works. This is what we believe. This is who we are. But this is the choice we face in the next 20 months.
