I have to agree with you. Then entrenching is so deep and pervasive and in every aspect of our western society. There is no way it can be done like Q and Trump are aiming for.
Sure you might be able to get some resemblance of normalcy return to our society but that way of thinking is going to be roiling in the background until another Obama gets in and BAM we're balls deep in it again and it'll be even worse because they'll be even more radical.
And you can bet they wont make the same mistakes twice.
