Name one democracy that hasn't self destructed or is in the process of self destruction. All kingdoms fall. Democracy is cyclical. It rises, then it cannot solve all the problems and greedy men take over the systems and cause extreme inequality causing anger and fear. The people turn to and install populist strongmen who promise the sun, moon and stars but really only feast on what is left of the decayed carcass of the state until revolution, catastophie or pandemic of some kind cause a reset and levelling from which democracy again rises and the cycle begins again.
