We often speculated why anons were chosen. Most correctly assume it was due to our autist inability to be lied to, to see things as they are given the proper info. Some also mentioned our hivemind-like ability to focus on targets and approach them from millions of sides at the same time. There's also a different reason, one I'm not sure was mentioned:

This conspiracy, this Cabal, is so large, that it escapes the ability of a singular mind to correlate EVERYTHING that they do. As such, a segmented approach is needed - one that intelligence agencies also use - to divide into departments handling a single facet and to have someone higher up who connects separate areas of research into the big picture.

We did this completely organically, with no one asking us to. We divided separately into planefags, lawfags, socialmediafags, memefags, even moralefags, with some anons standing watch collecting research into big-picture which is then shared here. I like to think of myself as a metafag since I can't dig for shit and the only thing I'm good for is spreading research and thinking about the effort itself.

In my opinion, this is one of the biggest reasons anons were tapped. We were observed for many years, watched how we get to our ops, from the stupidest things for shits and giggles like the Habbo raids, to the 2016 election. It was established that we are a collective intelligence force to rival top agencies once we're put to task the right way. And this - all this - is the first ever attempt to tap into the anon hivemind for a righteous cause, to steer anons toward a worthy, noble goal we dreamt of and always wanted to be a part of. Disillusioned youth witnessing how the world around them crumbled despite all the ideals we were taught as kids. Seasoned veterans who served their country only to watch in dismay as their service was mutilated into evil. Fathers, mothers, who want the best for their children and simply cannot accept the status quo since there must be something better. People, world-wide, who always had the inkling that something under the surface just isn't right. All of us are in it together, not because we shitpost on a mongolese basket-weaving board, but because we refused to accept the status quo.

This is why we fight. This is why we will win. Because we fight for a better future for all of us, not just ourselves.
