I think they should never have existed. But my opinion doesn't change the fact that they do. And that it'll be a long while before a complete reform of the educational system, from day care to preschool to med school, actually takes place.

That's a question that Mrs Betsy Devos is qualified to answer (I hope). A bit above my pay-grade. Personally I'm for home schooling, but that requires well educated parents, so by default, not every parent is cut out for the job right now.
