UK: Bangladeshi Migrant Rapes Boy, 15, in Public Park
A 15-year-old boy was raped twice by a Bangladeshi migrant who gave him a cannabis joint which made him feel “dizzy” in Bolton, north-west England.
Mohammed Suman, 33, approached the boy near the city’s town hall on July 2nd last year and offered him the drugs in order to “ingratiate himself and bring about a sense of confidence” with him, said Judge Timothy Stead in comments reported by Bolton News.
Suman persuaded the boy to go for a walk with him, then “asked for sex on a number of occasions… [the boy] repeatedly said no,” explained Juliet Berry, prosecuting.
The Bangladeshi, who arrived in Britain in 2003, did not take no for an answer, however, manhandling the boy against a fence, pulling down his pants, and raping him.
The teenager eventually managed to separate himself from Suman and tried to get away through Queens Park, but soon realised he was tracking him.
Ms Berry said the 15-year-old “told him to go away” but he instead he raped his victim a second time.

US denies Russia-protected buses access to Syria's Rukban camp to evacuate refugees – Russian MoD
US has rejected a joint request by Moscow and Damascus to let them evacuate the refugees stranded in the Rukban camp within the US-controlled zone in Syria to areas under Damascus' control, the Russian military said.
The first column of buses accompanied by Russian military police set off for the camp on Friday. They were supposed to enter through one of the two mobile checkpoints opened by the Russian and Syrian forces last month and ferry the refugees to other parts of Syria for permanent resettlement.

Sergey Shoigu held a phone conversation with his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, according to an official statement. The parties agreed to step up mutual counter-terrorism efforts and military cooperation. Shoigu also expressed condolences to the families of Indian police officers who died in a terrorist attack on February 14 in the Himalayan region of Kashmir. The region divided between India and Pakistan hit the headlines this week as the neighboring countries engaged themselves in a series of military encounters along the Line of Control.

Speaking to conservatives at the 2019 CPAC conference, Trump dived straight into comedy, jibing the media for always taking his statements at face value. The president said he was speaking sarcastically when he said he hoped Russian hackers could find Hillary Clinton’s missing emails on the campaign trail in 2016.
“I’ve learned, because with the fake news, if you tell a joke, if you’re sarcastic, if you’re having fun with the audience…” he said, “If you say something like ‘Russia, please if you can, get us Hillary Clinton’s emails, please, Russia, please, please get us the emails.”

U.S. and South Korea end military exercises that riled North Korea in favor of something smaller
U.S. and South Korean officials announced Saturday that they will end longtime military exercises that had riled North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s regime and drawn criticism from President Trump, replacing them with smaller operations.
The Pentagon disclosed the decision Saturday evening after a phone call between acting defense secretary Patrick M. Shanahan and his South Korean counterpart, Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo. They agreed “to conclude” the exercises, replacing them with “newly designed Command Post exercises and revised field training program,” according to a Pentagon statement.
“The Minister and Secretary made clear that the Alliance decision to adapt our training program reflected our desire to reduce tension and support our diplomatic efforts to achieve complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in a final, fully verified manner.”
