The Schumann Resonance is the frequency that the cavity between the ground and the ionosphere ring like a bell when there is a lightning strike somewhere in the world. When the height of the ionosphere changes, mainly due to changing solar conditions, it changes the size of the cavity and the pitch that it rings at.

The amplitude is far too low and the wavelength far too long to have an effect on anything human sized. But it fascinates people who don't understand it.
