Omar Accused of ‘Vile Anti-Semitic Slur’ by Fellow Democrat

Omar was rebuked Friday by the Democratic chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee for making a “vile anti-Semitic slur” in her recent comments about politicians who support Israel.

New York Rep. Eliot Engel called for Omar, a fellow Minnesota Democrat, to apologize, Fox News reported.

“I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country,” Omar said during a town hall Wednesday in reference to people supporting the nation of Israel, according to the Jewish Insider.

“I want to ask why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the NRA, of fossil fuel industries, or big pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobbying movement that is influencing policy,” she said.

Engel, who is Jewish, issued a statement in response to Omar’s comments.

“The heart has started to beat,” he continued. “It’s absolutely amazing.”

He noted that at a certain point in fetal development, babies were “developing hundreds of thousands of neurons every single day.”

“I’ve had the privilege of being able to operate on very little babies that were 25, 26, 27, 28 weeks gestation,” Carson continued.

US, South Korea to end key joint military exercises following Trump-Kim talks

Jeong Kyeong-doo and his US counterpart Patrick Shanahan spoke on the phone Saturday and "discussed and approved a plan regarding Key Resolve and Foal Eagle exercises", the defence ministry said in a statement.

The two allies will instead carry out "adjusted outside manoeuvre trainings and united command exercises to continue firm military readiness", it added.
