No setup. Ann Coulter is a professional troll. She's intelligent and very articulate and she knows exactly the right things to say to piss people off and get her name and her articles in the news. Then she gets TV and radio interviews—which keep her show going. People love to listen to what she says and read what she writes so they can hate and attack her even more; but the irony of how they are helping her to continue to be successful is totally lost on most of them. She always panders to a certain segment of the Conservative demographic with language that is generic enough to appeal to most. She claims to be a Conservative, but most of the men who she dates and the friends she hangs out with are liberals. I'm not totally convinced that she's a Conservative at all. She's just an opportunist who stumbled upon a profitable gig, and she's milking it as much as she can. In other words, she's a smarter but skinnier and less attractive version of the old Megyn Kelly.
BTW, whatever happened to the 'new' Megyn Kelly? Is it possible that she got struck by the Trump Curse twice?
