The reasoning here is sound, but the devil is in the detail. I have a hard time calling for an internet bill of rights without being able to read it myself. AT&T has not proven themselves to be for the american people. We need a draft of the internet bill of rights that spells out "Cannot do Evil" in plain enough language to understand before we can brigade for it.

This board has power, but we're not flush with legal scholars. I don't think we're going to make much headway with an internet bill of rights that was drafted by 8chan. I want to see real draft. I want Julian Assange to say yes this is pretty good and then I want to read it for myself and make my own decision and discuss its strengths and weaknesses.

When it comes to any of my RIGHTS–I'm not going to nominate someone like AT&T to define them simply because they are the lessor of two evils.

When it comes to my RIGHTS, Q-team posting crumbs is not enough. We could easily be misreading the crumbs. The internet bill of rights is so important it needs to be made plain as day. I just want to see a draft/outline of an actual law to brigade. That is not too much to ask for in this case.

Its a fucked up world we live in that the most honest and candid opinions on American rights and freedom come a fucking pirate in New Zealand and a political prisoner in London.

The Ninth Amendment declares that there are additional fundamental rights that exist outside the Constitution. The rights enumerated in the Constitution are not an explicit and exhaustive list of individual rights. It was rarely mentioned in Supreme Court decisions before the second half of the 20th century.

This is not a Left/right issue. Because the left has used the 9th amendment to argue for unrelated bullshit does not prevent patriots from using it to justify an extension and codification of the first amendment into 21st century platforms. Are you arguing against an internet bill of rights or are you advocating a constitutional convention to add to it? I support a constitutional convention, but this strikes me as a hard to achieve goal.
