Things re: NK are starting to become much clearer. Whether it's rare earth minerals, gold, or both; POTUS is making a strategic play to gain control of how those resources are used. So first he cuts the strings for who has been controlling NK. That frees up KJU to make a deal which is more profitable, both in terms of money and his life and well being. POTUS walks away from deal because of threat of FF and he doesn't want that to take press away from the historic meeting. So it was WINNING all around. POTUS strengthened relations with KJU. POTUS prevented any bad press for the Summit, and good press for the DS, from a potential FF event. In chess, as I understand it, you want to control the middle of the board. POTUS is right in the middle of everything they've been doing and he's disrupting it. Outright ending any control they've ever had. Then building strategic alliances to establish a new future.
This also explains all the Nodong-2 missile launches over the last decade plus. All DS actions designed to cover the mining operations and make everyone believe it was nuclear development instead. Then once they had extracted what they needed, the DS could initiate war to take out NK leadership, destroy SK economy and enslave the entire peninsula.
This is one hell of a movie!
