Anon, your comment really stood out and know that your family member is not alone. I was worked out of a contract DOD job by a coward GS-14 after I publicly blasted him for protecting GS employees who weren't doing shit for years straight. Applied for a GS position at the same org a month later (with 8+ years exp) and didn't even get on the referred list. Another guy (40pt vet w 3 yrs exp) didn't either and that alone is extremely rare. Something is going on in the background, I am sure of it. I still can't shake (muh feels) that the OPM breach is tied into all this but I doubt the true nature of will ever come out. The only thing provided was a few years of credit monitoring which is fucking infuriating considering all the extremely personal information that was compromised.
