My instincts tell me that there is something very wrong with it. Were those companies at one time deemed 'utilities' and not private businesses? If this is true then wouldn't the 1st Amendment cover all rights as they pertain to the Internet? Help me out on this please. I find it very disturbing.

I am not a legal expert but as far as I know company service agreements cannot supersede the laws of the country
