Breaking: Israel Shells Syrian Army Positions In Al-Quneitra
In the late hours of March 3, the Israeli military fired two shells at positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the areas of al-Wasit and Qurs al-Naql, west of the town of Hadar in the southern governorate of al-Quneitra.
Local sources said that the Israeli attack didn’t result in any loses and revealed that the SAA’s positions there remain abandoned most of the time.
Following the attack, many Israeli warplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were seen flying over the Israeli-occupied part of the Golan Heights. However, no hostile acts were reported.
Last month, the Israeli military carried out a similar small-scale attack on positions of the SAA near the separation line in the southern al-Quneitra countryside. Back then, Syrian pro-government activists revealed that attack targeted several thermal cameras of the army. Guided missiles and shells were reportedly used.
The motive behind these Israeli attacks in al-Quneitra remains unclear. However, some Israeli sources claim that these attacks were a warning to Iranian forces, which allegedly approached the separation line.

Syria reports Israel tanks shelled its garrison in Quneitra
Israeli tanks fired a number of shells towards the Syrian Army garrison near the town of Hader in Quneitra opposite the Israeli Golan, a military source in southwest Syrian reported Sunday night. The source said the situation could escalate in hours if the Syrian army chooses to respond. This was the first IDF attack since the shelling Syrian army positions across Quneitra on Feb. 11. No casualties were reported. Israel has not commented on the report.
