I was Paulist back to late 90s. Wrote his name in in '16. My kids were devastated when Mittens stole his shot in '12. I remember telling them he had the right message, but was the wrong messenger. POTUS doing it right. I think we needed a barroom brawler, not a college professor.
They do connect. Paul was gonna run in '92, but stepped back for Pat Buchanan. Buchanan beats out Trump in '00 for Perot's Reform Party nomination. Perot was warning of many of these same things.

Indeed, Perot and his badass war hero veep, Adm Stockdale (who they laughed at). Point was many of these same issues were forwarded for 25 years before POTUS elevated us.
