Jon Bon Jovi Puts on a Private Concert in Dallas With Jerry Jones’ Family, Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Witten and More VIPs All in

This is How You Launch a Rock Star Wine Company and Music Festival

On Thursday, Jon Bon Jovi and his son, Jesse Bongiovi, came to town to celebrate the Texas launch of their new rosé wine, Hampton Water. The father-son duo posed for photos with attendees and ensured everyone had a full glass, before Bon Jovi took the stage and played a handful of hits to an intimate crowd gathered on the Joule's tented, heated rooftop.

The idea for the wine was born two and a half years ago on a porch in the Hamptons. Bongiovi was drinking rosé with his dad and Ali Thomas, his friend and Hampton Water co-founder.

"My dad always called rosé 'pink juice,' but one day we told him that we now call it 'Hampton Water,'" says Bongiovi. "We laughed and thought it would be a great name to put on a bottle."

Next, we were whisked off to meet with Bongiovi, whom my Catholic mother made sure to inform me was a recent Notre Dame grad and football player. He’s also incredibly charming, sociable, and has been putting in some serious work to bring Hampton Water, which launched only about a year ago, to new markets, including Dallas.
