likewise, Trump has split the Rep party into Trumpers and non-Trumpers, MAGA and RINO also.
there is also a generational change coming across the entire scene, as Boomers of both parties fade away - just because they are growing old and passing on.

not sure we need parties as much as we need Patriotic and honest candidates.
if we used the internet correctly, parties could become irrelevant and positions of candidates become the issues.
we are a big country - not like 1800.
some things we need to change and modernize.
not toss out the old but expand our thinking

parties and current financial arrangements, particularly overseas money in all our elections, needs severe revamping.
PACs need to be outlawed.
rather us pay for candidates out of a special taxpayer funded sack than the freeforall we have now - where dirty money is poured in.
