If a disproportionate number of bad acts are committed by members of _ group, then _ group is displaying a pattern itself worthy of investigation. Maybe there are good reasons for the disparity, maybe not. But even these conclusions can be, and should be, arrived at via careful study of the facts. We're researchers, we don't blindly 'love' or 'hate' anything or anyone. We follow the truth, wherever it leads us.
