Rogan talked to a former Google employee who explained the execs thought process: If they don't bring Google to China in a censored form, the Chinese will steal Google.

All our big tech firms have moved to China. Maybe the Chinese govt there are behind all the online oppression we've been seeing here. China has been scamming a bunch of smaller countries run by greedy leaders using its Belt and Road Initiative. They could easily extort greedy execs of large companies.
Or, perhaps Chinese criminals are doing it. Facebook announced it was suing some companies and individuals for selling fake accounts, likes, comments, friends, etc. for Facebook and Instagram. These players also do this for other platforms like Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Google Voice.
