Not a lot of chatter about HR1. "election overhaul bill"

But ACLU just came out opposed as written.

I might add my own opinion is there is way more in this bill I am personally opposed to but this is at least a start of gutting this thing.

-No statehood for D.C.

-No federal taxpayer money funneled to "all candidates" in the MyVoucher program (sec 5100 is extremely distasteful)

-no new federal bureaucracy with new groups and new committess and money allocated for all that overhead
