That part about "big fraud investigations"

So much of the corruption is auxiliary crime that's orbiting the very center of it all: Fraud. Money. Greed.

All the activity– setting up the fraud scheme, bribing & threatening the people necessary to operate the machine, then constant coverup operations to protect it.

I think even the perverse sex stuff is secondary to the money angle.

Think about it: trafficking people, weapons, drugs, art (which is in 3rd place behind guns & drugs)

It's all about money. It's their god. It's all they know, their only motivator.

I'm fine with that. Have nothing to hide.

My late father had a fairly spoopy job back in the day, so I empathize with the lifestyle those folks have.

Makes for a somewhat-different family life.

Hey ya'll – there are those of us who get it, and what's more, we appreciate it and are grateful.

Godspeed and thanks!

The repeated references to bad apples is reminding me of FBIAnon, the two nameless visitors who stopped John Solomon in 2015, Robyn Gritz, and SO many more.

Look, those agencies are staffed by human beings same as any other nameless corporation anywhere. Wherever there are a bunch of people, there are a few jerks.

Those jerks naturally gravitate to places where their own popularity is unimportant (they already know people don't generally like them) and they have the fallback of bureaucracy in government organizations to protect themselves.

It just took a long time and a lot of courage for their colleagues to turn on them and decide enough was enough.

In the end, those folks are concerned with their employment benefits, because they have to be pragmatic for themselves & their families.

They're the "core" and they've taken some huge risks, and have no doubt gone to great lengths to protect themselves and anonymity. The latter is critical to cleaning house, because there's got to be someone somewhere gathering documented proof of wrongdoing.

It's got to have been scary at times.

I'm so proud of those people. I don't have to know their names, but I know they're out there.
