The repeated references to bad apples is reminding me of FBIAnon, the two nameless visitors who stopped John Solomon in 2015, Robyn Gritz, and SO many more.
Look, those agencies are staffed by human beings same as any other nameless corporation anywhere. Wherever there are a bunch of people, there are a few jerks.
Those jerks naturally gravitate to places where their own popularity is unimportant (they already know people don't generally like them) and they have the fallback of bureaucracy in government organizations to protect themselves.
It just took a long time and a lot of courage for their colleagues to turn on them and decide enough was enough.
In the end, those folks are concerned with their employment benefits, because they have to be pragmatic for themselves & their families.
They're the "core" and they've taken some huge risks, and have no doubt gone to great lengths to protect themselves and anonymity. The latter is critical to cleaning house, because there's got to be someone somewhere gathering documented proof of wrongdoing.
It's got to have been scary at times.
I'm so proud of those people. I don't have to know their names, but I know they're out there.
