A lot of things could have been done like that, ya doof.

You can fix people's mindsets in a day with a token red pill, or you can put the country back on track and create a nation of participants rather than sleepers that would otherwise go back to sleep after the jolt of what you're suggesting.

Reminds me of the hot water drain plug game.

You fill the sink with hot water with the drain plug in, and each person takes turns pulling the plug out.

If you hesitate too long, you add hot water to keep it piping hot.

A burst of insanity in the streets with some signs is much less effective than this gradual change in each individual.

This pace is meant to create sustainability.

You want to solve a problem of apathy by giving someone a shot of adrenaline.

That's not how you maintain steady work.

Follow the white rabbit might mean to be the steady turtle.

It would be interesting to know exactly how our country was taken out from under us. I suppose somewhere along the way, our military was compromised until enough heinous atrocities triggered some great men to work to get a handle on the situation and form this plan.

Having the technology we have today seems to have sealed the deal, given our good guys teeth in the fight finally.

I'm not a firm believer in term limits, but I don't think dynasties should flourish.

If people are held accountable for their actions, we can maintain our integrity without imposing rules on ourselves.
