Watching the @Jack Rogan podcast.
Tim Pool says something that struck a chord….
"I'm a social liberal"
And really, it is the liberal end of the spectrum that makes a fuss on anything (at least traditionally). Conservatives really don't make a fuss. They are the SILENT majority.
From a game theory perspective, it is in the best interests of companies that need to take stances on certain issues, to at the minimum….side a little towards the left. Like Twitter on speech.
Because if you aren't too left, the conservative will be quiet and the liberal would suffice.
If you are to the right at all, the conservative will be quiet (same as before) but the the liberal would go REEEEEEEEE until you changed your shit.
I feel like our founding fathers knew this. The constitution is 100% a conservative (Note I do not say Republican) document to protect against the liberal voice.
