A few months ago anon read about a virus that replicated in both biological and computational environments. Would post but can't find any reference - which IMO showed that the Neal Stevenson (potential ?) reality of Snowcrash style of information weapons.

A self replicating computational entity could carry any payload.
This is reason #5344 why We the People need a secure identity based information system to replace the internet which was never meant to serve the general public and was manifested and maintained in it's corrupt irremediable insecurity by intelligence agencies and computers security "experts" like iDefense and antivirus software hucksters like MacAfee and Symantec.
Anonymous insecure networking will not support advanced computational civilization.
Insecure networking permits false flag attacks, Information Poisoning and access to the soft underbelly of IOT infrastructure etc etc etc so that failure cascades are trivially initiated.
