The DNC is referring to Democratic primary debates and that it won't let Fox host them. "Serve as a media partner" might not let Fox televise them live. Just because Fox doesn't host the debates doesn't mean that it's prohibited from covering the debates in analysis thereafter.

Such action will probably cause much more unwelcome coverage by Fox on DNC actions. Streisand effect in play here.

Stupid move on the part of the DNC, frankly. They just wrote off a very significant part of the potential debate audience because many normies want nothing to do with MSM coverage.

More coverage from WaPo about Tom Perex excluding Fox from televising DNC primary debates.

"Winning the exclusive rights to televise the 12 candidate debates is considered a prestigious prize in the television business. The debates typically draw large audiences — the first Republican debate in August 2015 attracted a record 24 million viewers — and are a vehicle for promoting the networks’ news programs."

"Numerous networks, including Fox, have submitted proposals to the DNC to televise one of the 12 scheduled debates, which will start in June. So far, the organization has only awarded rights to the first two — to NBC (along with sister networks MSNBC and Telemundo) and to CNN."

Great idea! Q - please pass to Q+. Would be sweet revenge for the House committee investigation on Michael Cohen that was deliberately set up to distract from the North Korea meetings.
