The problem with your comparison is that women don't contribute to the formation of a vas deferens. Men contribute to the formation of a fetus–in fact, it doesn't happen any other way.

the point you're missing is that it takes two to make a child–saying that the man's input after conception up until delivery or abortion is without concern is rather heartless.
