Skillffully-crafted rhetoric attracts many well-meaning people who don't see the reality behind it. For example - digital identity is marketed in terms of "everyone deserves to be counted," "no one should be left behind," but, in reality, the digid is used to surveil and determine what info a person is "allowed" to access. It's a big problem in India right now. The US isn't far from implementing it - You've probably noticed it being pushed. We have to stop it.
