Uneducated question: what are the chances that Hu_awei devices are being on the verge of a widespread ban in the West because they do not contain built-in data collection architecture that other "approved" devices have - through FB pre-installation and other means?

If that's the case, does it mean buying Hu_awei devices "safe" from the data collection process in the US? (but not from the one in China, sure)
