  1. The Earth's Moltern Core ( substantially made up magnetic iron ) is in effect floating within the Earth's crust. This allows the Core to rotate from time to time altering the location of the Magnetic north. Whilst that will cause some difficulties with any instrumentation that uses Magnetic North as a point of reference, the movement of Magnetic North is not in itself a cause for major concern unless it were to cause problems with wireless communications.

  2. There is no direct connection between the movement of Magnetic North and the extinction of the Dinosaurs . The last event which caused mass extinctions on Earth and the collapse of

many neolithic human civilisations (Younger Dryas event ) was caused by a massive comet hitting the earth . That is a totally different issue.
