Just about everything you describe is a direct result of a massive shift in… population… since legalization. Also, not all areas, etc. Remember, there are multiple major Military installations all over the place, there. Tons of good folks, but currently getting overwhelmed by cannabis enthusiasts from all over the place infecting the real culture there. Again, significant "population" shift in the past few years.
You have to win hearts and minds first. In order to do that, you have to expose the truth. You cant win this fight with emotions. You have to win it with facts and logic. I get your frustration, but honestly, until a great many more wake the fuck up, we are in a holding pattern.
So, you're just going to have to get over this. Do like the "woke" ones do, and go homestead somewhere up north and leave this issue behind. Immigrants built this country in many ways, and if there were enough folks already living here that were willing to do the jobs necessary, then the imported slave labor would likely have never been competitive enough to take hold. Instead, you had an entire generation of people that used unions to create jobs on assembly lines making 30 bucks per hour to punch a start/stop button, and collect lifetime pensions after 20 years of that. That isnt economically sustainable; plain and simple. Think Detroit.
Perot was right. Either you use your position as the most powerful nation on the earth to institute protectionist policies that ensure America first, or you open the floodgates to nepotistic capitalism and deal with the shrinking middle class. POTUS is doing everything he can to reverse 20+ years of significant economic policy wrongdoings. I'd say he is doing the best possible considering the circumstances. Not to mention that we now know it was about more than just "free trade". They were literally selling our national sovereignty to the highest bidders.
