The Denver International Airport

There are countless conspiracy theories that go around today and one of the most well

know involves the Denver International Airport. A few basic facts about The Denver

International Airport, or DIA for short, include that it was finished being built in 1995. Which

was 16 months past the planned date. It measures 54 square miles, twice the size of Manhattan,

and was the largest airport in the U.S. at the time construction finished. The Denver International

Airport was not the first airport in Denver. Before it was built, there was already a functioning

and successful airport in Denver. Thus, making the DIA completely unnecessary to build. The

airport ended up costing $4.8 billion, nearly $2 billion over the original budget. Who payed for

the $4.8 billion to build the airport? An unidentified private investor. The two biggest overlying

conspiracies for the Denver International Airport are that it is either a doomsday shelter for the

most elite and powerful people in the world, or that it is the headquarters for the New World

Order. There are many questionable and mysterious details that many people believe help

support those two conspiracy theories. There are details about the interior, exterior and the

underground levels of the airport that cause suspicion.

Before getting into to the two most prominent theories about the DIA and the details that

support them, it is important to know what and who the New World Order, and the Freemasons

are. The New World Order, also known as the NWO, is a theoretical organization of the world's

Hall 2

most powerful and wealthy people who hope to overthrow the world, fulfilling an “end of the

world” prophecy (AlltimeConspiracies). They supposedly hope to create a global totalitarian

government with one of their main focuses being on reducing the world population from over

seven billion, to two billion. The Freemasons however are an actual group that dates back to the

1700’s. Historically the Freemasons were a fraternity of stonemasons but since have become

known as an international society of the very wealthy (AlltimeConspiracies). Because most of

what they do is very secretive, many believe Freemasonry are an occult. In the world of

conspiracy theorists, The New World Order and the Freemasons both have very similar agendas

and are at many times overlapping. In the case of the Denver International Airport, “evidence”

seems to point towards the NWO and Freemasons having major influence.

The inside of the DIA is full of decorations and designs that seems slightly strange to be

in an airport. There are multiple murals that paint almost disturbing images of the end of the

world. The first of many murals show a soldier, who is very reminiscent of a WWII soldier, with

a gas mask on. The soldier is holding an AK-47 in one hand. In the other hand he is hold a sword

that is stabbing a dove, the symbol of peace. Behind him is some kind of smoke, which would be

why he is wearing a gas mask. Below him are dying, weeping women holding dead babies, and

children huddled together laying in the rubble of a city. Another of the murals shows a forest on

fire, children of many ethnicities huddled around dying animals, and three bodies in coffins. One

of the children holds a Mayan tablet inscribed with “information” about end of the world (SEA).

These painting are clearly about the end of the world, and conspiracy theorist believe they

indicate the ulterior purpose of the Denver International airport. While these paintings may be

enough to convince some, they are not the only signs that keep conspiracy theorists curious.

There are a few other odd things in the airport. These things vary from stone sculptures of

gargoyles coming out of luggage, to a statue of a 30 foot blue, demonic horses with red glowing

eyes. While these are both details that conspiracy theorists touch on, they are not nearly as

prominent as the capstone inside the airport’s largest terminal. The capstone is inscribed with a

few things. The first part says that underneath the capstone is a time capsule meant for the people

of Colorado in 2094, 100 years from when the airport was built. While time capsules are not rare,

the placement of this one is quite strange. Why did the person who put it there feel that it needed

to be right in the middle of this airport? The inscription also says that the capstone and capsule

were both contributed buy the New World Airport Commission. The name of this commission

obviously has a connection to The New World Order. To get even more suspicious, The New

World Airport Commision has no record of ever existing (Independent UK). The last unusual

part of the stone is that the Freemason’s symbol is engraved in it. This brings up the questions,

how much did the Freemasons have to do with the airport and why are they involved at all? This

all being said, it is not only the decorations of the interior that give the Denver Airport a sinister

feeling, but also the architecture itself.

Strange blueprints, runways in the shape of a swastika, and “abandoned” underground

tunnels, are all part of the construction of the DIA that point in the direction of an ulterior

motive. As a found blueprint shows, when the Denver International Airport was first being built,

the architects planned on having five building in the corners of the airport. However, those

buildings were supposedly built in the wrong places. Instead of knocking a building or two

down, new buildings were put on top making the previous buildings now underground

Hall 4

(theCHIVE). Many conspiracy theorists believe that this was no “accident” at all. Instead the

buildings were purposefully built underground for the NWO headquarters. When the DIA was

being built, underground tunnels were also built to hold an automated bagging system. When the

airport opened up however, the system almost immediately failed. The airport now claims that

the tunnels are used for storage. Some believe that the extremely high security guarding the

tunnels proves that they are not used simply for storage. Touching on the theory that the

runways of the airport are in the shape of a swastika, it is important to know that Nazis are not

directly linked to the NWO or the Freemasons. However, because Nazis have a hope for a more

pure, alternate world, the ideas of the parties are similar. Now, what do all these details lead

conspiracy theorists to believe?

Theorists who do not think the underground tunnels and buildings of the Denver

International Airport are home to the New World Order’s headquarters, believe that they will be

used as a bunker for the world's most powerful, important people, like the President of the

United States (secureteam10). This bunker would be used in the case of an apocalypse, or the

end of the world as we know it whether it, from something non-human, an overthrow by a

foreign country, or a natural phenomenon. One of the biggest details that supports this theory has

to do with the Comet Elenin. This comet was discovered in 2010, and at one time projected to hit

the earth, but broke apart and missed the U.S completely (NASA). For some reason or another

though, the internet and news medias took it as a possible doomsday. However, with the amount

of attention Elenin got, it can be assumed that the President's security team would have wanted to

take as much of a precaution as possible. It may or may not be a coincidence that President

Obama was in Denver the day the comet was predicted to hit.
