ExDenverfag, f I do recall, in the late 80s Denver elected its first Latino mayor, Michael Pena. He had those 80s glasses, was all yuppied-out and super shiny to the Dem party. Stapleton Airport added “International" to it's name. Stapleton Airport was convenient to Denver, down Monaco Ave and boom you're there. When Clinton became President, he tapped Pena to be head of the DOT. And Pena's claim to fame was he started the initiative to revamp the airport. When it opened it was a plagued with a faulty baggage system and other shit.
