Glenn Gaffney
Executive Vice President, In-Q-Tel
In-Q-Tel is a strategic venture firm formed in 1996 to bridge the gap between the venture capital community, the technical startup community and the U.S. government in order to discover and deliver technology that can advance national security, defense, and law enforcement missions. Gaffney served the U.S. Intelligence Community for more than 30 years leading analysts, operators and technologists to solve some of our nation’s most pressing intelligence challenges. He began his career at the CIA as a technical analyst studying the Soviet Space program. Building on his early experiences he spent the next decade working interagency and clandestine technical collection operations to address critical intelligence gaps. He served as the CIA’s chief of computer operations and then chief of the CIA’s Information Operations Center. Gaffney also spent two years as the deputy director of National Intelligence for Collection and six years as the director of Science and Technology for the CIA.
